During the fall and spring free Art Club workshops are offered in partnership with local schools to expose young artists to new mediums and processes they might not otherwise experience. ARTventure camps provide students ages 6 to 14 with the chance to spend time on campus and experience quality fine art instruction. Nearly every medium is offered during camp, and students learn new skills through discovery and imagination. Campers can navigate their own ARTventure by taking different courses each week, all summer long.

The Artist in Training certificate is an opportunity for young aspiring artists to expand their skills with guided instruction. Continuing Education offers a free Artist in Training certificate from Kansas City Art Institute to recognize ambitious students who complete any two "FUNdamentals" or "Fundamentals" and three courses of their choice.
